Madea Goes to Jail is an upcoming 2009 crime comedy-drama film adaptation written and directed by Tyler Perry, which was inspired by Perry's play of the same name. The film centers on Perry's well-known character Mable "Madea" Simmons. Plot
Centers on Madea (Perry), whose penchant for trouble-making lands her behind bars. She comes to the rescue of Candace (Pulliam), a fellow inmate preyed upon by a large woman named Big Sal. Derek Luke is on track to play Joshua, an attorney who has a past with Candy.
